Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 67 year old said:
Galliani reiterated that Milan are interested in bringing Tevez to the San Siro, but only on loan. Despite getting a rejection from Manchester City, Galliani is not giving up and revealed that any possible alternatives (aka Fernando Torres) to the Manchester City striker on the transfer market do not interest him.
The Rossoneri director then confirmed that El Sharaawy will stay with the club, even if Tevez – who cannot be fielded in the Champions League – should arrive. But this would leave out Inzaghi, who is yet to feature in the Champions League this season. The veteran striker is currently behind Spanish legend Raul on the list of all-time European top scorers, with 70 strikes to his name.
“I’m sentimentally attached to Inzaghi, just as the president is. We’ll see how he’ll be and what will happen. On 1 February Allegri will be able to assess whether he can include him on the list. Pippo Inzaghi’s dream is to set the record for European goals. He will try to do this with Milan, or possibly another club in the Europa League.”/
