Chechik had already gotten surgery for her injury, even showing viewers the big scar on her spine during her comeback Twitch stream. The controversy surrounding the foam pit incident didn’t stop as the streamer revealed that people from the TwitchCon venue didn’t reach out to her for weeks, and that she found out she was pregnant before her surgery, but couldn’t keep the baby because of the procedure she had to undergo.

Chechik has been streaming again on Twitch while recovering at home, but apparently, she has also been dealing with swatting incidents. In a strongly worded tweet, she claimed that “some internet trolls,” which she assumed came from her Twitch chat, have called the police on her many times. Chechik said that it’s come to a point where law enforcement already knew her, and that they would simply “talk about our life” whenever they show up to her house.
Chechik didn’t reveal any more information about the swatting incident, but many of her fans and friends have come to her defense in the tweet’s replies. They sympathized with her and offered well-wishes that she recovers well at home despite the stressful situation. Others also reminded her to not worry about the “haters,” but considering how serious swatting can be, it might not be that simple.
Swatting is essentially a type of “prank” where a person contacts emergency services to send law enforcement to a particular address. This has happened to many streamers already, with one of the latest being Adin Ross when he was swatted live on stream last November. Other streamers like Ludwig, Hasan Piker, IShowSpeed, and Apex Legends pro player ImperialHal have also experienced this distressing predicament, most of them happening while they’re streaming and thousands of viewers witnessing it. Fortunately for Chechik, it seems like the law enforcement in her area already know that she’s a victim of this irresponsible prank.
Apart from swatting, Twitch streamers and content creators often worry about getting doxxed because once their address gets found out, people could easily prank or stalk them. This could prove dangerous for these creators, which is also why many they would move to a different place and even tighten security measures in their home to protect themselves. So, it’s really important for public figures to keep their private information secure to prevent issues like this.
