Peterson certainly showed he has not lost his touch, helping push the Redskins to a three-score lead through four quarters when he recorded his 100th career rushing touchdown on Sunday.
The 33-year-old running back and seven-time Pro Bowler also surpassed the great Jim Brown – who had 12,312 rushing yards – to move into 10th on the all-time rushing list.
Peterson signed a one-year contract with Washington for the veteran’s minimum of $1.015million last month.
He is coming off a 2017 season where he spent time with both the New Orleans Saints and the Cardinals, ending the year with 156 carries for 529 yards — the third lowest output of his career.
