Tippl went on to say:

I guess it wasn’t win-win, after all, seeing how things ended up turning out. Former Infinity Ward heads, Vince Zampella and Jason West, after being fired, formed Respawn Entertainment which is backed by EA. Funny enough, EA had some very choice words regarding Activision’s announcement of the success of the Stimulus Package DLC that released for Modern Warfare 2 a few weeks ago: “This is kind of like announcing: The race horse I shot last month has won the Triple Crown!” Those words came from Jeff Brown, EA’s director of corporate communications, which I find ironic in just the tiniest way.

We’ve been paying our talent millions of dollars for their work. Our setup provides a win-win opportunity. We ensure your work will reach a wide audience. Therefore, we have attracted, and we will continue to attract, the top talent in this industry."

Sounds like the situation will be coming to a conclusion soon, West and Zampella have their own studio again and they’re developing for a company that will surely give them tons of money to crank out games that could possibly become cultural icons of their own accord.
