The poster of the image was Chef Joe Youkhan, who was the caterer of a meeting organized by legendary skater Tony Hawk to possibly discuss details of the new game. Youkhan also posted a few more images of himself with Hawk which caused the speculation to skyrocket further.
A few people reacted with skepticism to the photos which is understandable since we live in an age where the authenticity of images can’t be determined thanks to various editing softwares, but it now appears that the photos are indeed the real deal.
A spokesperson for Tony Hawk’s publisher Activision revealed to video game website Polygon that ‘Tony Hawk 5 is a working title and not the final title’.
Activision released another statement to gaming website Attack Of The Fan Boy saying: “It’s no secret there is a new Tony Hawk game coming, Tony announced it on Twitter months ago. ‘Tony Hawk 5′ is a working title, not the final one. Look for detailed info on this game soon.”
Here’s hoping the new game skates into our life as soon as possible.
