“We feel terrible for Daquan,” coach Dave Rice said in a prepared statement. “He is an important part of our program and will have our full support as he goes through this challenge.”
UNLV did not say how Cook was injured.
Cook will have two years of eligibility after the 2014-15 campaign.
The 6-1 Cook played in 28 games (two starts) last season. He averaged 1.8 points and 0.7 assists in 8.5 minutes per game.
